Patrick Henry has 25 years of coaching experience including novice, age group, senior and collegiate levels.  Coach
Henry is a level 5 USA Swimming Coach and a level 5 High School Coach, the highest level possible, as certified by the
American Swimming Coaches Association.  
Coach Henry began coaching as an assistant coach with Texas A&M men's and women's teams, and Head Coach of
the Aggie Swim Club. Under Coach Henry, the team had their first Junior National qualifiers.  Coach Henry went on to  
the First Colony Swim Team in Sugarland, TX.  He began as the senior team coach and then as Head Coach, during
which time he had 14 swimmers qualify for Junior Nationals and two for Senior Nationals.  The team was also top 5 at
TAGS three times under his coaching.  Upon leaving Sugarland, Coach Henry became Head Coach of Lewisville
Aquatic Club.  During his 7 years, the team had 20 Junior National Qualifiers and 2 Senior National Qualifiers, more
than the team ever produced.  Coach Henry started a team in McKinney before moving to Grapevine, were he helped
with the design for the GCISD Swim Center.  The school district hired him to oversee construction, coach the High
School team and run the facility.  Coach Henry and his wife Wendy, a former NCAA swimming champion herself,
started Grapevine Colleyville Aquatic Team.  The team grew to over 250 swimmers, producing 15 Junior National
Quallifiers, 4 Senior National Qualifiers, and 1 Olympic Trials qualifier.  During his time as high school coach, Coach
Henry was voted State Coach of the Year 2 times and the high school teams were State Champions 3 times and
selected the # 2 Public School Team in the country in 1998 by Swimming World Magazine.
Coach Henry has served as Technichal Chair, Senior Swimming Chair, and Coaches Representative in North Texas
Swimming.  He served on the TAGS Committee and as Vice President and President of the Texas Interscholastic
Swimming Coaches Association.
